Irwin has appeared on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno and The Hour with George Stroumboulopoulos. He has toured with Brent Butt and has opened for Craig Ferguson and John Pinette. Irwin was the subject of a CTV award-winning documentary entitled “THAT’S MY TIME" and starred in the comedy special, "CAN’T STOP LAUGHING" on the Comedy Network, which will re-air on Friday, June 25 at 10pm EST on The Comedy Network.

He was featured in the CBC comedy special "Stand-up in Kandahar" and has appeared on Just for Laughs, as well as numerous television appearances on the Winnipeg and Halifax Comedy Festivals.

He is a five-time Gemini award nominee and three time Writers' Guild of Canada Screenwriter's award nominee (including winning the award in 2008).

Sadly Irwin passed away June 21, 2010 at Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto, Ontario. He was a comedic legend, universally respected by his peers and his strength and courage during his fight against cancer were truly inspirational to all who knew him. He will be greatly missed and forever loved.
The story documenting the first year of Irwin's battle with cancer, THAT’S MY TIME, will be re-aired on Saturday, June 26 on CTV at 7:00pm EST.
